Info for Coach Lindwall

Coach Lindwall is entering his 12th season as Head Coach of the St Joseph High School Girls Basketball Program.  Coach Lindwall became the Head Coach at St Joseph after coaching stops at Joel Barlow High School from 1990-1998 compiling a record of 137-58 including a Class M State Championship in 1995 and a SWC League Championship in 1998 and Runner up in the 1998 Class M State Championship.  Coach Lindwall will be inducted into the Joel Barlow Athletics Hall of Fame in November of 2022.

After coaching at Joel Barlow for 8 seasons, Coach Lindwall in Spring of 1998 accepted a position as a Division 1 Women Basketball Assistant Coach at Fairfield University.  He coached at Fairfield University for 7 years through the 2005 Season with great success including participating in the NCAA Tournament twice and the WNIT Tournament twice.  Coach Lindwall and his 2001 Fairfield University Team were inducted into the Fairfield

University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018.

Coach Lindwall left coaching in 2005 to pursue other challenges and spend time with his family until 2011 when he accepted the Head Coach Position at St Joseph High School in Trumbull.  Coach Lindwall has compiled a record of 156-87 in 11 seasons at St Joseph.  In 2015 the team was crowned 2015 Connecticut Class M State Champions!  Coach Lindwall has the distinction of being the only Coach in Connecticut State Girls Basketball
History to win a State Title with 2 different schools.  This past season his St Joseph Team won the 2022 FCIAC Title and was the Class M State Runner up.

This year Coach Lindwall has continued his Girls Basketball AAU Program called Connecticut Hoopsters.  In its 9th year of existence it consists of 5 teams ranging from 5th to 11th grade.  All of the teams will be coached by

High School and former College Coaches.

Coach Lindwall brings over 28 years of Coaching and Basketball Camp experience.  He continues to assist in the growth of Girls Basketball in the Fairfield County area and the teaching of the Fundamentals of this great game we call Basketball.
